Maybe I'll try to make a little post since it's been like a week, eh?  Maybe a shorter one since I should get to bed real soon.

Things are better!  "Listening" to some of the things that were really getting me down helped a lot, I think, but also, just sleeping more, which I want to continue to try and work on.  I had a day last week where sleep debt (and see-sawing sleep) just caught up to me and =forced= me to just sleep through most of the day, so that was unfortunate but also fortunate in that I already started feeling a bit better afterward.  So yeah, that's important.

In general I'm feeling just a little more excited about what life has to offer.  You know, the simple things, like ALTTPR, Caesar 3, keyboards, white tea, all that good stuff.  I'm itching to get my hands onto the next Caesar 3 level for example, and earlier today my 4x4 switch tester kit came in.  I gave the switches a little bit of a comparison but I actually just ended up throwing all 16 (plus some bonus ones, so more like 20) into my Cycle7 for a real in-context comparison and go at it.  That keyboard now feels terrible to type on, but I have some notes for every single linear switch that I own (lol), notes which of course are super subjective and don't even match up with some well-established reports, but I mean, what really matters is how the switches sit (and feel) in my boards in my setup to my ears, right?

Besides the WS POM+ switches that I've been rocking in my Cycle7 already, I picked out a handful of switches that seem promising to give a closer look:

*HMX Hyacinth V2U
*Keygeek Tipsy Red (Blush)
*Bsun Jade Rosales
*Akko Mirror
*Huano Strawberry Latte
*Bsun Chiikawa (28g)
*Huano Sakura
*HMX Twilight

The HMX Hyacinth V2Us, Akko Mirrors and HMX Twilights are definitely the "clack" switches, with the Bsun Jade Rosales also kinda being in that domain but a little milder/less loud/less prominent.  I probably am going to pick one of these, just not sure which one.

The Huano Strawberry Latte just has a really bassy resonance.  I'm interested to try pairing it with my thicker keycap set in my Neo80 to see how it'll be.

The Huano Sakuras I probably won't pull the trigger on just because they're so similar to the WS POM+ switches, but I do still like them, though they are a tad bit scratchier.

The Bsun Chiikawas are just in case I want to create a feathery typing experience, 28grams is so light and they actually sound decent especially for that weight class which I feel like tends to feel more "thin" (?).  I'd have to check to make sure they actually return a spacebar keycap properly...

The Keygeek Tipsy Red (Blush) are really pleasantly muted, I definitely want to pick up a whole set of those, those are probably the one I'm most set on picking up.

I was at Jammix on Friday, it was...pretty chill.  Not super energizing, but that was okay, too, since I was masking up since I know some bugs and viruses have been getting around these days.  Overall the weekend didn't go exactly how I expected -- I got distracted Friday night, for instance -- but still pretty okay.

I got distracted, btw, looking up a tad bit of stuff about Ico, more stuff about Shadow of the Colossus, and even more stuff about The Last Guardian, which I think will actually be an important game for me to play through for myself.  I've spoiled myself on a lot of it already, but I don't think that actually matters and I think it'll still really have an impact on me from what I'm seeing.  It seems like something pretty relevant to some of my previous work, as well as just something pretty special in and of itself.  So that is going to be a playthrough that I do sometime.

Rhythm Quest dev is actually going fairly well, I managed to "find the fun" in developing again, which was good.  The latest chart that I worked on seems really fun, I'm enjoying becoming more and more of a veteran player (and charter) of my own game, haha.

That'll have to be it for now...
